MP3: Kanye West – “Power” Rmx
ft Jay Z & Swizz Beatz
Adding Jay Z to the track made it all better. “No one man should have all that power” is the full line from which the title is drawn. Details remain scarce about Kanye West's new album, Good Ass Job, but apparently it is suppose to be his best hip-hop record yet.
According to PrefixMag.com, Good Ass Job, which finishes Kanye's "college series," is set to feature Big Sean, who confirmed his guest spot via Twitter. It's also likely we'll see frequent collaborators like Common and Mos Def along with newcomers such as Drake and KiD CuDi. The album will also include beats from outside producers, something West had done before. This time around, he will be joined by RZA, Pete Rock, and DJ Premier, the last of whom provided scratches on "Everything I Am" off Graduation.

My absolute favorite Movie Scene Ever!! The dopest dope you have ever smoked!! By Lisa Ford Published: August 23, 2010 PrintEmail
MY FAVORITE SCENE OF ANY MOVIE EVER!!!!
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS!! Starring Rosie Perez, Craig Robinson, and others!!
Have ya'll seen this movie?? Freakin Hilarious!! I saw it for the first time over the weekend. Where the hell was I when it first came out!! A process server (Seth Rogen) and his marijuana dealer wind up on the run from hitmen and a corrupt police officer (Rosie perez)after he witness his dealer's boss murder a competitor while trying to serve papers on him.
Below is my favorite part of the whole movie...hell, of any movie ever!! (I know only some of you will understand why LOL!)
Description:
Pinapple Express is the dopest dope you have ever smoked. When the Blue Oyster shit met that Afghan Kush and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Northern Light stuff and the Super Red Espresso Snowflake met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked - this would the shit that they birthed. It's God's vagina.
ZODCORE - August 24, 2010 God's vagina does taste pretty darn sweat.

WHY I FINALLY FORGIVE CHRIS BROWN!! By Lisa Ford Published: August 21, 2010 PrintEmail
WHY I FINALLY FORGIVE CHRIS BROWN!!
(and his best video yet)
I finally forgive Chris Brown for his transgressions against Rhianna. As a woman, I vowed never to post his music on this blog (and haven't until now), and I've advocated via Twitter and Facebook for his ultimate destruction.
But all that's changed now...and not because of his BET performance (i still thing that was staged, but whatever). I forgive him for personal reasons....I have someone in my life right now, who is very important to me, who continues to hold my past transgressions over my head...and it doesn't feel good.
When I was Brown's age, I was a lunatic...real talk. Today, I'm a totally different person, and would never make the same mistakes now as I did back then. And I believe Brown when he states that he will never behave that way again.
Nobody's perfect. Some people grow up & grow wiser, and that should be recognized because it's not easy to change. Personally, it hurts when people continue to judge me for the things I did when I was younger and troubled. So i'm not going to past any further judgment on Brown for those reasons.
Here's his video 'DEUCES', which I should have posted when it first broke because of its artistic nature.
PEACE~

Wyclef - Weed For Sale By Lisa Ford Published: August 12, 2010 PrintEmail
WYCLEF - WEED FOR SALE!!! {not so new track]
And with that said, only in Haiti can he run for President!!
King Assassin Presents - Wyclef Toussaint St Jean - Weed 4 Sale - Exclusive-1.mp3
I'm breaking all the rules of blogging by reposting this selection. I became an even bigger fan of Wyclef's after he recorded this song at the beginning of the year (or rather end of 2009). Wyclef had WEED FOR SALE!! and advocated for the legalization of marijuana!! WooHoo! Good for you Wyclef, my Hero!. Is this the same approach you're gonna take in rebuilding the economy for Haiti?
Haha! I think I'm on to something here...Let the U.S. legalize marijuana so Haiti can grow the best stuff for us and sell us as much as we need! If that's your plan, than its genuis!! If not, then you can click the donate button in the right corner and pay me for my brilliant ideal!! LMAO!
But on a serious tip...only in Haiti can one sing about selling weed and then run for President. That shows you the seriousness of poor economic state Haiti is in. I bet you Obama wouldn't have gotten with that sh#t.
Do I endorse Wyclef as President anyways? YES!! Who better to take on the poorest country in the Western hemisphere and turn it all around? Wyclef has advocated and advocated for Haiti long before the earthquakes and their destruction. I truly believe that becoming President of Haiti is his calling and I truly wish I could vote for him myself~
{PREVIOUS POST*** Musically speaking, Wyclef is dynamic. And I'm gonna go out there and say he's a genius. After busting out with Fugee-La, this man has never wavered from delivering quality masterpieces. This track is my favorite so far off of his new mixtape.
Oh...and don't forget to support Wyclef's foundation at www.yele.org ~}
ZODCORE - January 5, 2010 Once again Lisa has blessed us with some awesome tracks from Wyclef. This guy is everywhere and doing everything. 2 big thumbs up.

Damian Marley Interview By Lisa Ford Published: August 11, 2010 PrintEmail
A RARE GLIMPSE INTO THE MIND OF DAMIAN 'JR GONG' MARLEY
Read Lisa Ford's Interview with Grammy Winner, Damian Marley
[DAMIAN MARLEY - ONE LOAF OF BREAD]
Lisa: What is the secret behind the Marley’s leadership style?
Damian: Rastafari leads me. Unity is the secret. People are the music. and the blessing from Rastafari is why people follow us. Our shows are about God and love…so its message allows people to follow us. It’s not really a leadership style. The only leader is Rastafari.
Lisa: With the Marley family, is it only about the music? Are there non-music related issues on your table?
Damian: Outside of the music, we all have our hobbies. But in regards to the music, it’s a long time we’ve been in the struggle. As you know, it’s my family heritage. My first professional public appearance was in ’89. But in reality, we are music from birth.
Lisa: Could you give us a fond memory of your father, Bob Marley?
Damian: NO! {As in he wouldn’t answer the question}
Lisa: What are your thoughts on the fact that the Marleys made such a major impact in this world?
Damian: I know that my father made such a major impact. But as you know, this is the work of Rastafari. Our culture is Rasta culture, so it’s works of the Most High.
Lisa: Your music has crossed over and found its way into the mainstream culture. What that your intent?
Damian: Yes, only because we’re young and we listen to all kinds of music…Hip-hop, R&B, etc. Hip Hop music is today’s culture, so we incorporate that into our music.
Lisa: What is your own personal mission in life? Damian: My personal mission is to help others through music. Our music is the foundation of other works that we would like to do eventually to be shown in different ways in which we can help people, such as building hospitals and building schools.
Lisa: So when my readers listen to and think about Damian Marley what can they conclude?
Damian: Tell them to sum me up for who I am and not mistake me for someone else~
Damian Marley’s music includes adaptations of traditional Reggae elements (strongly accented subsidiary beats and baselines) to 21st century Hip Hop’s synthesized beats and sometimes defiant stances. In addition to his prodigal upbringing in the world of music, it is Damian’s passion and compassion that allows him to be a legend in his own right. Jr. Gong's website: www.damianmarleymusic.com.

Bun B ft. Pimp C, Trey Songz, & 2Pac - Right Now By Lisa Ford Published: July 31, 2010 PrintEmail
Bun B ft. Pimp C, Trey Songz, & 2Pac - Right Now
First of all the Bun B / Pimp C combo sits as one of the cornerstones of rap. But then to go ahead and add Tupac was genius. This is the most creative hit I've heard so far this summer. Tupac comes in at about 1 1/2 min.
